The Solar Ambassador Workshop is a training program that aims to create awareness and education about solar energy at the grassroots level. Participants, known as Solar Ambassadors, learn about solar technology, its applications, installation basics, and the benefits of renewable energy. These workshops typically cover both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience with solar panels and related equipment.
The program helps create local advocates who can promote solar energy adoption in their communities and provide basic guidance to others interested in switching to solar power. Participants often learn about solar economics, government policies and incentives, and common misconceptions about solar energy.
This Workshop was held on 9th February 2020 by the college in association with Science Forum in collaboration
with IIT Mumbai and the Ministry of Renewable Energy, Government of India.
