About Department of Hindi
Department of Hindi was established in 1958.
Objective of the Department–
- Enhance your interest in Hindi literature in the Students.
- To develop auditory, reading and writing capacity of Hindi language students.
- Develop a sense of love and social commitment among the students in the nation.
- Encourage the learning skills and literary consciousness among the students.
- Inspire students to spread and promote national language Hindi.
Department offering B.A.course at UG level and M.A. course at P.G. level. Dr.M.V.Govilkar had done a job as a 1st HOD of Hindi Dept. After that Shri.Bhashan Joshi ,Shri.Dada Ratnaparkhi,Dr.A.W.Dhuldhule,Shri.Kanhaiya lal, were successfully done their work as HOD. Presently Dr.M.L.Chavan is a Head of Department. Department have 5 Full-Time Faculties, who have interest in various fields in Hindi subject. There are 2 faculties working as a Research Guide. a Various Faculties of our Department has published 8 Reference books and 03 Research Projects has been completed.One faculty member received International award from Vishva Hindi Sachivalaya, Mauritius and he also nominated as a member of Board of Study in Hindi in Swami Ramanand Tirth Marathwada University,Nanded and Savitribai Phule Pune University,Pune.
Department is organizing activities For skill development of students like ‘Devnagari lipi aur Manak Hindi Vartani’, ’Anuwad Pramanpatra Pathyakram’, ‘Vyaktitwa Vikas Evam Lok-vyavhar Pramanpatra Pathyakram’. Munshi Premchand Janmadiwas Samaroh,Bhartendu‘Harishchandra Janmadiwas Samaroh’, ’Hindi Saptah’,’Zilastariya Hindi Swarachit Kavyawachan Pratiyogita’ every year. Department has maintained 80-90% result of UG and PG level courses every year. 15 students from our Department has qualified SET/NET Exam. Many Students are successfully working in various Government and private sectors like Schools,Colleges,Police Department,LIC,Multi-National Companies etc. Department has successfully Organized many Seminar/Conferences funded by UGC/SPPU. Many Faculties presented and Published a Research Paper in various National and International Conferences’.
