Socio-Scientific Exhibition

A Socio-Scientific Exhibition is an educational event that combines scientific concepts with social issues, helping students and visitors understand how science impacts society and everyday life. Science Association- The Curious Minds has taken the initiative to organise this event. It provides a platform to  young minds to showcase their scientific skills and critical thinking. This activity is included in the Best Practice of College.

Key objectives:

  1. To develop critical thinking and scientific literacy by encouraging participants to explore the connections between scientific principles and real-world social challenges, such as climate change, public health, or sustainable development.
  2. To promote public engagement and dialogue by creating interactive displays and activities that allow visitors to actively participate in scientific discussions and understand complex issues from multiple perspectives.
  3. To demonstrate the practical applications of scientific knowledge in addressing societal problems, helping visitors understand how scientific solutions can improve community well-being and quality of life.
  4. To foster awareness of ethical considerations and decision-making skills by presenting scientific issues within their social context, enabling visitors to better understand the implications of scientific developments on different stakeholder groups.

These exhibitions often use various formats including interactive displays, demonstrations, multimedia presentations, and hands-on experiments to achieve these objectives.
