(Outreach Programme for School Girls)

Preamble:

H.P.T. Arts & R.Y.K. Science College has always been striving hard to connect with the outside society in order to understand the issues and provide possible and feasible solutions. ‘Amhi Jijau Savitrichya Leki’ aims to address the issues of school girls. Started in 2022, the programme has able to reach out to around 2000 girls students in especially Marathi Medium schools in Nashik city. The title of this programme features two ideal personalities, Jijau alias Maharani Jijabai and Savitribai Phule, a pioneer in women education. Both of them set new standards of women empowerment and excellence through leadership. Their life and work are an ever-inspiring source for the girls in contemporary times. Girls in school, especially from Standards 9 & 10 are sensitive and vulnerable. They may have misconceptions about many things due to lack of proper knowledge or exposure.  The idea that these school girls can be oriented by senior girls from college in more effective way came forward during the meetings of IQAC. With some background study, the entire programme of  Amhi Jijau Savitrichya Leki  is designed. Special coordinator is designated for this activity under Vidyarthini Manch.
