About Department of Biotechnology
The Department of Biotechnology established in 2004, is a proactive department with students involved in scientific research activities, publishing research papers and articles in various journals in the area of Biosciences. This department since its inception emphasizes on appointing and inculcating meritorious faculty in various specialised branches in Biotechnology. The Department routinely organizes state level seminars and workshops and is frequently visited by scientists of national and international eminence.
The Department annually organizes “Shree Laxmi Narayan Rathi Scholarship” programme for the meritorious students to boost up their morals. Students of this department actively participate in various research competitions such as ‘Avishkar’ & ‘Vidnyan Yadnya’ and come out with flying colors. Every year Department Of Biotechnology organizes Study Tours & Field visits to Food Industries, Dairy Industries, Water purification Sites, Wineries And various diverse ecological Sites.
The Department of Biotechnology Organizes motivating guest lecturers from renowned personalities belonging to various fields like Administrative Services, Research Institutes, and Industries etc. Department is also engaged in Industry-Academia Collaborations through MoU with pro-nowned industries & Research Institutes. Students from the Department are also engaged in social services like Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, Helping differently-abled children at Orphanage etc.
